It all started back in 1991 when I was only 15. I took a job making pizza at a local pizza chain to help support my family, and I’ve been a successful restaurateur fascinated with pizza ever since. Young as I was, I soon became the manager of the location I worked for; by the age of 23 I owned three locations in the franchise: (1) Clarksville, Indiana, (2) Shively, Kentucky, and (3) Radcliff, Kentucky. But the franchise business was much too confining for my creative talents, so I moved on and opened a sports bar in Louisville, Kentucky, called Shooters. And even though it became quite the hot spot and a destination location for more and more loyal customers, pizza continued to call my name.
So in 2005 I did what I wanted to do all along: I opened my first pizza parlor! Well it wasn’t long before loyal customers from my franchise locations and my sports bar—knowing how I made my food my number-one priority—poured into my newest location. With that success, restaurants two and three weren’t far behind. Fast forward and soon I had even a better idea how to serve better pizza at a better price.
